This year, the Lady Hawks will focus on the growth and development of female hockey players through our 19-week Skills and Drills program. With the excitement surrounding the inaugural season of the PWHL (Professional Women's Hockey League), the interest in women's hockey is on the rise, and the Lady Hawks continue to see increased interest.

After much consideration, we’ve decided to focus this season on the development of our female players. The Lady Hawks are excited to announce our partnership with KG Hockey, the McKendree University Women’s Hockey Team, and select players and coaches to deliver 19 training sessions to level up our girl’s game.  

Skills and drills sessions start on Friday, October 4 at 5:45 PM will emphasize improving skating, puck handling, shooting, and game strategies

This program is open to girls of all ages and skill levels.

Cost: $450

4. YES! Girls can be rostered on an all-girls Lady Hawks team (if available) and a co-ed Ice Hawks team.
5. Do I have to live in a zip code assigned to Southern Illinois Ice Hawks to play for an all-girls Lady Hawks team

a. Yes and No. Yes you have to live in our zip code to play on a fall team. No, you do not have to live in our zip code to participate in the Skills and Drills program.
