Spring Pond Hockey
Want to take a little break after the long season, but still get some ice time? Pond Hockey is the place to be. We split the kids into teams and let them play hockey and have fun. 6u/8u will be played cross ice or half ice. 10u and above will have some weeks of small area games and some weeks of full ice.
Ages
Pond hockey is for players from 6u-14u with at least one session of learn to play completed.
When
It usually stats in mid to late March and lasts for 6-8 weeks with one game a week.
Where
All of the pond hockey sessions will take place at the McKendree Metro Rec Plex.
Format
6u/8u- Will play either half ice or cross ice games.
10u-14u - Will play full ice, half ice, and cross ice.
Targets
Players will either be shooting at goalies or pond hockey nets.
Jerseys
Players should wear your Ice Hawks practice jersey.
If you are new to the club, a jersey will be provided to you.

How do we know what color jersey to wear each week?
When you get to the rink each week, look for the jersey list taped to the rink or locker room door. You can also ask one of the coaches there.
